This is a terrible photo, but since I don’t have a scanner, it was the best I could do. I just thought it was amusing, and appropriate for Halloween. I love that the dog is also wearing a hand-crocheted sweater and hat. And I love Edward Gorey’s illustrations. It is amazing what can be done with pen and ink. It has been a great day, and I received a great bit of news as well. Hurrah! Tonight, Eric and I are going to watch Bram Stoker’s Dracula and I will see if I can get a start on my RR. Speaking of movies, we watched another of the Academy Award movies this weekend, You Can’t Take it with You. This one had Jimmy Stewart and Lionel Barrymore in it and was quite good. I really enjoyed that one. Next is Gone With the Wind – amen for movies in color! Ha ha. So, I only have 70 or so more years of movies to watch in order to cross this off my 101 Things list. In stitching news, I am anxiously awaiting Martina’s release of the passwords for Mystery 9, Midi 2 and Persian Iris Garden. I can’t imagine what else she has planned for M9 and M2. And speaking of Martina, I am just in love with her Pompeii Garden. I have promised myself that chart as a reward when I reach a goal I am working towards. So, stay tuned!
Happy Halloween!
I am grateful for a great job.
I’ve fallen in love with Pompeii Garden too (especially after seeing some of the WIPs around)… I’ll definitely buy it before the class ends! I’ve just joined Persian Iris Garden, so I can’t justify it just yet. 😉
Eric’s stocking is looking lovely and those crystals are yummy!
I love that Gorey illustration. My dissertation was on women who kill. Even juicier when they do it in very “feminine” ways.
Oh yeah right – password time already… sigh – LOL!
You’ve been sucked into Pompeii I see then! hehe! 🙂
What a great picture. Unusual and weird and just fascinating! And what a close-up gory way to get rid of your daughter-in-law! ewww!
Martina is a fabulous designer – if only I could keep up! Your work is looking fantastic….
Love that pic, and the bit of story is great too! Enjoy the movie – that’s one of my faves!!
