For those of us in the U.S., today is Independence Day, which often involves barbecue, fireworks, and watermelon. For those of us in North Texas, it involves rain. But, nonetheless, a perfect day to complete the finishing on my little July blanket for my Wooly Tyme sheep.

I spent the rest of the afternoon working on my Quaker Garden and watching Treasure Hunters. I am loving the colors in this. I haven’t used the Red Pear thread yet, but the blue and browns and white just pop against the fabric. I am using the recommended R&R fabric for this. Is it just me, or does the R&R fabric tend to be really stiff? I hope to work on QG a little more tonight, and who knows what I’ll work on the rest of the week. I can’t believe I only have to work three days this week – and then it is the weekend again.
I am grateful for traditions that were built by our country, our ancestors and that my husband and I are building together.
Nice start Michelle!
I’m not fond of R&R linen, I must admit, which is why I switched to Lakeside and I’ll probably substitute for all the LF designs. If you’ve never tried Lakeside Linen, you really should – it’s gorgeous to stitch on 🙂
That’s a cute little finish and you’re making nice progress.
Ooo, the Red Pear was my favorite – may well be one of my all time fave WDW colors – enjoy 🙂 I already miss working on this one!!
