Happy March

2007 Finishes, SB Ornaments, Stash, Stitching, Water ACEO, Woolly Tyme / March 1, 2007 by Michelle / 20 Comments

March Woolly Tyme 030107

Homespun Elegance
Weeks, GAST and DMC on 28ct overdyed linen
Finished 2/20/07

First of all, let me say thank you again to everyone for your well-wishes and warm thoughts today. My CT scan went just fine. I’ll make an appointment to go back to my doctor to discuss next week. And, as promised, since it is March…here is my March Woolly Tyme blanket. I love this one. The bunny’s tail is French knots. I can’t believe there are only three more months of these to stitch. That just flew by! Also, since it is March 1st, Martina released the first monthly chart for St. Petersburg White Nights, her new design. This was also part of my bonus check goody spree. Love it!

St. Petersburg No Frame

As I mentioned yesterday, I finished up my Shepherd’s Bush Shepherds Watched ornament. I just love these. I intend to stitch all the 2000 Years Ago ornaments (from the JCS ornament issues) and then finish them into a wall-hanging of some sort.

Finished 2/28/07

And finally, last night was QuickStitch Wednesday over at the HAED BB. I completed another 10 x 10 block. One more and I will have made it all the way across one page of the chart. I am so excited. I just love working on this piece, I just wish I made more progress on Wednesdays. It’s a good change from working on my Just Nan galore pieces though!

It feels good being able to share some finishes. Sometimes I feel like I’m stitching and stitching but not getting very far. But, I guess one stitch at a time is one stitch closer to a finish, huh? I’m glad tomorrow’s Friday, I am looking forward to a relaxing weekend. Thanks for checking in!

Walk to Rivendell: Keep a stone’s throw left of the road…slower going. (Total Miles Walked: 35)

I am grateful for Harry Potter (loving Book 1 again!)

Wow, your finishes look great. I’m going to be stitching St. Petersburg too, I’m still waiting for my fabric and threads to come. It all should have been here last week, but hasn’t arrived yet. What fabric are you going to do St. Pete’s on?

I’m stitching St. Petersburg too! That is so cool you are doing it. I haven’t received my fabric or threads yet but I printed out the first part of the design yesterday. I can’t wait to start this. Ann.

Happy Sunday, friends! This piece was a mystery sa Happy Sunday, friends! This piece was a mystery sampler published in the first five issues of The Gift of Stitching magazine beginning in February of 2006. I started this in 2007 and finally finished it several years later, turning it into a ten year anniversary sampler for Eric and I. I chose my fabric based on what Carol of Garden of Stitches chose for hers. I ran out of one of the Vikki Clayton silks midway through this piece and @senoritastitches kindly lent me some of hers so I could finish (this was pre-Vikki returning to dyeing).

I really love this piece with its motifs and specialty stitches, so I wanted to share it for both #xstitchsamplersunday and #saltboxstitcherweeklysamplerpal - @carolfun53 has been doing her #xstitchsamplersunday for about a year now, so I highly recommend taking a look at all the beautiful pieces shared on that hashtag.

For the first Friday the 13th of the year and #dar For the first Friday the 13th of the year and #dark13stitching @eclecticpossessions suggested we work on Tombstone Spots. We started this piece last year on the only Friday the 13th of 2022 and I think I’ve worked on it a couple times since then. Really love this piece and happy to have it out again.
