I’ve been stitching a little more on my Lemon Meringue Sampler. I’ve got the middle row finished. It has three colors of yellow in the diamonds and in the center of each is off-white. I am stitching this with DMCs on 28ct linen. It is such a fun stitch. I’ve been taking it with me to work on between work and my discussion group on Wednesdays. So this is only about two hours worth of stitching (last week and this week). Since I haven’t really been home the past two nights, we haven’t had a chance to taste our cake yet. But, I will let you know tomorrow how it is. I know I owe answers to several questions that have been asked in the comments, so I will try to answer those in my next post. Here’s a pic of the whole sampler and how it will look when it’s finished. I would like to mat and frame it this way and hang it in my kitchen.

And for those interested, Casey Buonaugurio will have this adorable design called Caramel Apple in next month’s issue of The Cross Stitcher (October issue). I just love this! And she has the yummiest freebie on her website here (scroll to the bottom for it). It is a design of chocolate-covered cherries!

And just for fun, here’s a Coach bag that I would love to have in this beautiful Lemon Yellow color, but I don’t even see it on their website…I just lifted this from an ad. Too cute!

I am grateful for being open to receive prosperity.
Oooo, thanks for the link to the freebie, Michelle! I love chocolate covered cherries so I downloaded it. Great start on your lemon meringue sampler. I haven’t seen any designs by this designer before and they are *cute*!
You are off to a great start on your sampler. I love this designers patterns and have quite a few-even though I haven’t done one yet.
LOL!!!!!!! I think Casey has a serious sweet tooth!!! I gained two pounds just looking at her site!
Thanks for the link to the freebie 🙂 but I have to say your stitching is making me crave sweets!
I’m craving sweets now too! Nice progress, and thanks for the link to the choc. covered cherries! 🙂
Oh, dear. Now I’m going to have to pick up Lemon Meringue for sure. I like the others, but the Lemon is my favorite.
What a sunny, cheerful piece this is! I’m sure that it’s going to look great in your kitchen when it’s done. 🙂
What a pretty piece! Great start!!!
Nice start to your Lemon Meringue Sampler. Such bright colors, looks great.
Lemon Meringue is my favourite desert! I love the look of the Caramel apples too… hmm will have to look out for that issue of The Cross stitcher (I presume it is the us mag you are talking about).
You are off to a great start on the Lemon Meringue sampler. Thanks for sharing more info on this designer – I hadn’t heard of her.
Oh, I saw a few of her designs on hoffmandis.com and want to stitch the French Chef design. I can’t remember the name of it at the moment.
