As you can see, I made a trip to my LNS today. Always a fun trip. I needed a couple of things for my exchange piece, some beads for my RR (I can’t seem to find my gold beads anywhere!), the threads for my sheep blankets, and some Floss-A-Way bags. I came home with a couple of extra things. Carriage House Samplings “Love” and two Little House Needleworks pieces “Colonial Homes” and “Hannah Purington” from the Dear Diary Series. I was seriously tempted to get a lot more.
I also received the new Blackbird Designs Loose Feathers “Their Song” with the fabric and threads. I love this piece. It will be just beautiful with those colors I think.
I stitched on Barnabee, and finished up Part 1. I just love stitching on this and am so glad that so many of us are SAL-ing on it.
And I’ve made a little start on Part 2. The whole thing is looking pretty good, I think. Sorry for the slightly wonky photos, I didn’t take it off the q-snap to snap the photo. My wonderful friend Pam is in town from Reno, so we get to go and have dinner with her tonight and visit. I am really looking forward to it. And instead of stitching on Mystery 9 this weekend, I may stitch on my RR and Exchange pieces. I am almost done with both and am starting to get a little nervous about finishing them. I am also a little nervous about finishing Baby Garden on time, so you may see that one start to get a little more attention in the next few weeks. My Goddaughter’s birthday is at the beginning of May, and I would like to have it finished in time for that. Hope you’re all having a fantastic weekend!

I have a question. One the Water one, there are threads hanging from the piece. Do you stop with one color and take up another? How to you keep them from getting tangled. Is this a special technique?

Love your Barnabee progress. It’s looking really great. I happen to have an extra beehive tassel ornie in my stash, if you’re interested…Also the new Blackbird is awesome. If I weren’t up to my ears in WIPs, I could justify buying it, but for now..it’s truly stitching!!! :))
