Our second anniversary was wonderful. Tuesday morning, I came downstairs to find two dozen roses and a sweet card from Eric. That evening, I gave him his gift…
I had carefully wrapped the wedding quilt, folded so that the label was the first thing he saw.
I am really pleased with how the quilting turned out, and how beautiful the backing fabric is.
You can see a corner of the back above. And here you can see a closeup of the center of the quilt. I chose the squares signed by our family and wedding party to surround the center block.
Eric was very surprised and impressed with the quilt. He was amazed at how big it is too, once I spread the whole thing out on the floor for him. The whole thing measures 62 x 91 inches.
It was more than two years in the making, including all the initial planning, but I think it is beautiful. Reading each of those hopes and wishes that our guests wrote brings back the happiness of that wonderful day and I know those feelings will stay with us for years to come.
I am grateful for two amazing years and a beautiful quilt.
