Part 2 Finished

Thank you all so much for your anniversary wishes and sweet compliments on the wedding quilt. I am so glad that it is finished! So, today I have stitching to show you! Above you can see that I’ve been stitching along on my CCN Peace ornament from the JCS Ornament issue. I started this one in the car last weekend on our way to OKC. I’m really enjoying it, and it has been such a pleasure to stitch. I only had one minor issue, I used the wrong white. I used Bright White instead of Winter White – but it was easy enough to fix. So, now I am forging ahead!

I laid Peace aside last night to work on Barnabee for Just Nan Sundays. I finally finished Part 2!!! I am so excited. I started Part 2 in March of 2007, so it took me a little over a year to finish this part, but at least now it’s done! I’ve been so inspired by Chris‘s Just Nan Sundays, and now Jenna is cruising along on Barnabee again too. She recently finished Part 2, so I knew I had to keep going! We watched West Side Story last night (the 1961 Best Picture winner), so I had a good two and a half hours with Mr. Barnabee – just enough to finish this part. Here’s the whole thing so far.

I have one part left, which I hope to start next Sunday. Hurrah for Just Nan Sundays! I am already envisioning working on my Queen of the Needle after this piece is finished! Just for grins (and inspiration to myself), here’s my Queen of the Needle piece where I left it last.

And I have another wonderful thing to share. Erin finished stitching on my Neighborhood RR and has posted some wonderful photos (which I’ve borrowed). She stitched a little pumpkin house for me…isn’t it cute?

And here’s how the whole thing is looking so far! I’m so happy!

And finally, I know you are all probably tired of all the quilting, but I just had to share one little accomplishment. On Saturday, I pulled out my machine again and made up the label for my Pigwidgeon quilt. Now, it is finally really DONE!

Until next time…have a great week!

I am grateful for finishes!

  5. You sure have been busy. Your Just Nan is looking really beautiful and your new projects look nice too. The little pumpkin house is just the sweetest. Glad your RR is back on track and looking good.

  6. Yay! for your happy dance – it’s so sweet!

And what a coincidence – Sally and I have started an SAL on Sundays too for a Just Nan project – in our case, Morning Song!

  7. Peace looks lovely, Michelle, as does Barnabee. I can’t wait to see your Queen again.

I love your round robin so far.

  8. Hooray for finishing Part 2! I hope that you are finding working on Barnabee as rewarding as I am. Parts of it may be a challenge and I’m tempted to put it down, but I really want to finish it now. It will be my biggest finish in quite a while!

Your Peace ornament is coming along nicely. 🙂

  9. The Barnabee stitch is just SOOOO cute. I have loved watching all of you stitch this one, all of the little verses and over one stitching, they are just too adorable 🙂 I am glad you have pulled it out again. Some things are good to take a break from 🙂

The NRR you did looks great too! You have been busy.

  10. Barnabee is gorgeous and Queen of the Needle is coming along nicely too. I’ve seen many stitchers stitching QotN and fell in love with it. Ordered it recently and I can’t wait to start on it.

  11. What a great sttiching post, Michelle! You are very good with the inspriation yourself! What is the fabric you are using for the Peace ornament? It is lovely . . .
