Queen of Hearts

Happy Valentine’s Day! Here is my little Valentine project that I had been working on. All that beautiful red fabric became little heart ornaments. It makes me happy every time I see it.

I also went to my LNS’s Market Night last night between work and class to see some of the new goodies. They didn’t have a whole ton of things that piqued my interest, but there were a few. And I did try to not go completely overboard. I ended up purchasing what you see below…

I bought the Blackbird Designs book, which has like 11 or so charts in it. They are all very cute. They have a couple of pincushion charts, a box top (sort of like the Secret Garden box), and several others. Fun! I also bought this cute French Country rooster. I couldn’t resist him for $3. I picked up a couple of skeins of Weeks that I was getting low on too, while I was there. It was fun. They had a drawing for a goodie bag (I didn’t win). And I got to hear the story from my LNS owner about how she was trapped in an elevator at her hotel with Frank from Mosey n Me and two other people. I didn’t see LHN’s Thread Gathering piece there, so I have ordered it from another shop. It just seems such a cute piece. Oh, and speaking of cuteness…have you seen Just Nan’s new Lady Scarlet piece???

I’ve reserved one for myself. Guess now I will have to stitch Lady Scarlet’s Journey too, huh?

I have made a start on the Just Nan RR that I have right now. The group is wanting to push the mailing date up, which I find highly ironic. But, I will work to get this one finished as quickly as possible, so that we can move on.

I am still sort of emotionally off-kilter today and I didn’t really sleep last night. We are having a behavioral problem with Hamlet, and I don’t have any idea what to do about it. I am going to call our vet today to see if he can offer any suggestions. Any loving energy you can send our way would be appreciated.

And so far, other than the spacing thing, I am really liking the new Blogger. It seems to load everything faster. I like the labels for my posts too. Although, every time I label one now I keep thinking I should really write a post that includes the topics “scooters, vacation, fall” just for a laugh. (Those are the examples they give you for labels.)

I am grateful for the love of my life.

  5. I love the tree, with all those pretty hearts.

And the ladybug is adorable! My sister would love it, but she’s not a stitcher so I think it would be wasted on her. Shame, that. I love it, but wouldn’t use it.

  7. Very nice heart tree; quite creative! 🙂 I love the Lady Scarlet accessories, too. I reserved the kit from Drema yesterday. Just couldn’t resist! We’ll definitely have to SAL on Lady Scarlet’s Journey after we’re done with Barnabee’s Quest, okay? Then, after that, we can work on the accessories. 😉

  9. The little Valentine tree is sooo cute! I like the lady scarlet project as well–hadn’t seen that anywhere yet. LOL about using scooter, etc. I’ve thought that also when I saw their label examples.
