As part of the QuickStitch Wednesday SAL on the HAED BB, I worked on my Water ACEO again last night. For some reason it seems like it’s been awhile since I worked on this, but I guess it’s only been a week. I managed to get another little 10 x 10 square done. I am close to being halfway across the top. I am enjoying stitching on it though, especially now that I have my thread on bobbins. My 2007 goal that I posted on the HAED BB is to start and finish this within the year. Here’s hoping!

I had to place an order with Amazon for a book for my next class, which starts next Tuesday. It was so nice having off this week! And since there’s no reason to skip that free shipping, I ordered this too. This Blackbird Designs book has patterns for several quilts (one of which was used as the background on the Fleamarket Sampler) and a couple of hooked rugs. A fun book.
Tonight after work, we went over to our wedding photographer to have our one year anniversary photos done (even though our anniversary isn’t until April…they are gearing up for wedding season). So, hopefully I will be able to get a little stitching in on Baby Garden before the night is over. Tomorrow is back to Barnabee. Has anyone else attempted to order the pullware or tassel for this piece? I’ve tried to order them from a couple of different shops, but since they are discontinued pieces, I don’t have high hopes for finding anyone that just happens to have them in stock. Off to stitch!
Walk to Rivendell: Road ahead runs fairly straight and level. Behind them it curves slightly. BLACK RIDER. Sam and Pippin hide in a hollow. Frodo behind tree by road. (Total Miles walked: 32)
I am grateful for anniversary photos with my sweet husband.
Nice progress on your HAED piece. I love the ACEO pices. I think Fire is my fav but I can never choose just one. 🙂

I am in awe of anyone who can take on an HAED piece! And that Blackbird Designs book looks great – they are one of my favourite designers.

Your stitching never ceases to amaze me!
What a nice idea to get 1 year anniversary pictures. We didn’t do that.

Great progress on your HAED.
1st anniversary pics are a great idea. We just had our first portraits done since we got married 5 years ago.

Looking good, Michelle! I am impressed that you are parking your threads – confounds me 🙂
Have you tried Just Nan direct for the pullware for Barnabee’s Quest? Just a thought 🙂

Water is looking great! I really need to grid my QS Wednesday piece. Things are a little hectic right now–I’m hoping for an April 1 start.
You’ll have to share your quilting progress; I love quilting but don’t have the patience for it 🙂

That looks like a good book… thanks for posting that. I may add that to my book wishlist 🙂

Crud, those are discontinued? I didn’t know that. Grrr… Let me know if you find them. I’m going to write to John directly and see if he knows of anyone who still has some.
