Summertime

Today I received goodies in the mail. I received Casey Buonaugurio’s Lemon Meringue Sampler. I had to have this chart! I absolutely love lemon meringue pie, and my grandmother used to make it for my birthday every year. Since it is coming up on my birthday in August, I thought this would be a lovely summertime birthday project to stitch! Since the chart calls for DMCs and plain old white linen, it should be easy to gather the supplies for it as well. I love this! I want to hang it in my kitchen. I also received the first chart in Bent Creek’s Summer Snapperland series. As you may recall, I am still working on winter, but when I saw this new chart Whale House I fell in love with the whale weathervane and the lobster on the beach! Too cute. I ordered the chart, the fabric and the embellishments for the the free border chart.

So, I am off to stitch some more on Quaker Garden. I forgot to thank everyone that left such wonderful comments about my wedding sampler. I appreciate it! I hope to get back to that one on Wednesday. I don’t have class tomorrow night, so I should be able to get in some extra stitching!!

I am grateful for LEMONS!
